Head of Financial Reporting for Finland

This growing and highly successful tech business are looking for a Head of Financial Reporting to look after the statutory accounts and compliance for their Finnish subsidiary for 3-6 months. This role is fully remote and requires someone that can start immediately.

Description

As Head of Financial Reporting for Finland you will be responsible for managing the local statutory compliance, tax and financial reporting, whilst supporting group reporting under US GAAP.

Specific responsibilities will include:

· Ensure the timely preparation and filing of Finnish statutory accounts under Finnish Accounting Standards (FAS)

· Oversee the monthly and annual VAT, payroll taxes and corporate income tax filings

· Manage Finnish audit processes

· Translate local reporting into US GAAP compliant financials

· Oversee local AP and AR and cash forecasting

· Ensure internal processes meet compliance standards including SOX

· Liaise with international finance teams to support transfer pricing and intercompany transactions

Profile

My client is looking for a candidate with the following profile:

· Fully Qualified (ACA / ACCA / KHT / HT), ideally trained in practice

· Extensive experience with Finnish financial regulations and tax law

· Experience of managing statutory compliance and financial operations in Finland

· Strong understanding of US GAAP and multinational environments

· Experience with cloud-based ERPs - experience of using Netsuite would be very helpful

· Excellent attention to detail and communication skills

· Fluent in both Finnish and English

You must be able to start this role immediately and commit to the full duration (3-6 months).
