Senior Electronics Engineer

Senior Hardware Design Engineering opportunity to work on a high classification national security Defence Project. The position requires working majority onsite in Kent (four days per week) under a BPSS clearance (a full SC clearance will be provided after an initial duration).

This opportunity enables you to join a leading UK aerospace and defence innovator working at the forefront of national security. The client can offer a day rate of up to £800 per day and the flexibility of one (and after time potentially two days per week remote working).

As a Senior Hardware Design Engineer, you’ll be a key player in the development of advanced analogue and digital systems, supporting integration and delivery across a high-stakes, high-tech program.

Key Responsibilities:

• Hands on development of full lifecycle of hardware design projects—analogue, digital, power supply systems (30V)
• Develop and refine system and hardware requirements
• Apply rigorous design methodologies, timing, and signal integrity analysis
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions
• Provide technical leadership, hands-on integration support, and mentorship
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement in processes and designs
• PCB design: Either Altium/Mentor/Zuken is recognised

Beneficial (Not essential) experience:

• Simulation: SPICE, Simetrix, analogue and system-level modelling (e.g. Matlab, Simulink)
• Timing & signal analysis: Chronology, signal integrity tools
• Modelling & architecture & requirements: Enterprise Architect, DOORS
