Rental Executive (12 month FTC)

Location: Charles Hurst Belfast Citroen

Hours of Work: 27.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday 9am - 3pm

Salary: £21,697 per annum

Contract Type: Temporary, part-time (12 month fixed term contract)

This is a unique and exciting opportunity for an individual to take ownership of our Rental platform, managing and developing a rental fleet currently in excess of 60 vehicles, with planned growth as the programme expands.

The role is highly operational and compliance-driven, requiring excellent attention to detail and strong administrative discipline. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all rental agreements are processed accurately, driver documentation is correctly recorded and uploaded, and that the platform is fully controlled to guarantee all rentals are fully insured and legally compliant.

In addition, the Rental Executive will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the fleet, ensuring vehicles are well presented, properly maintained, roadworthy, and available for hire at all times. This includes coordinating vehicle preparation, monitoring servicing schedules, managing vehicle downtime, and working closely with the workshop and valeting teams.

The role also carries a strong customer service and commercial element. The individual will handle customer enquiries, manage bookings, upsell additional rental products where appropriate, and ensure a smooth, professional handover and return process for every customer.

Key responsibilities include:

• Full management and control of the rental system and bookings


• Ensuring all driver checks, licence uploads, and insurance compliance are correctly completed


• Fleet presentation, maintenance oversight, and availability management


• Handling customer queries, reservations, handovers, and returns


• Monitoring utilisation, maximising fleet revenue, and reducing idle time


• Accurate paperwork, invoicing, and rental agreement processing


• Reporting on fleet performance and utilisation


• Liaising with internal departments to ensure smooth fleet operations and courtesy provision

This position would suit someone highly organised, process-driven, customer-focused, and comfortable managing both administrative compliance and hands-on fleet operations. A performance bonus is also in place, payable upon achievement of the agreed Gross Profit target, adding a strong commercial incentive to the role.
