Job Description - Repairs Team Leader

Repairs Team Leader

- Location: Northamptonshire
- Duration: 3-6 months (temp-to-perm available but not essential)
- Day Rate: £250-£350/day (Umbrella)

Are you an experienced and hands-on repairs professional with a background in property maintenance leadership? We're seeking an Interim Repairs Team Leader to oversee day-to-day delivery of responsive repairs in a high-demand environment.

This is a key role, reporting to the Repairs Manager and supporting the supervision of a multi-skilled team. You'll be responsible for ensuring that repairs are completed efficiently, safely, and with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.

?? About the Role:

You'll be based in the office five days a week, with regular visits to properties across the area. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume setting, and can confidently step into a leadership role from day one.

Your focus will be on maintaining service quality, ensuring health and safety compliance, and supporting operatives in the delivery of high-standard repairs.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven property repairs experience - essential
  • Health & safety knowledge relevant to repairs - essential
  • Customer service focus - essential
  • Experience managing high-volume repairs operations - essential
  • Previous experience in a similar leadership role - essential
  • Strong technical background across maintenance trades - essential
  • Good IT skills - essential
  • Excellent communication skills - essential
  • Experience in the housing sector (e.g. housing association, ALMO) - desirable

Responsibilities Include:

  • Supervising operatives and overseeing daily repairs delivery
  • Monitoring performance and supporting productivity
  • Ensuring health & safety compliance on site
  • Liaising with internal teams to resolve escalations
  • Managing workloads and ensuring jobs are completed within service targets
  • Using IT systems to track, report and allocate work effectively
