Research Specialist

I am currently supporting a US law firm in their search for a Research Specialist to join their London office.

For this role, you will be working as part of the Research Services team to perform non-legal research in a wide range of subject areas including but not limited to, Corporate and Financial Transactions, Intellectual Property, and Litigation in support of the Firm's Attorneys, Paralegals and administrative staff.

Duties will include:

• Using critical thinking to analyse each request and identify the best research resources for efficient and cost-effective solutions
• Maintaining the hardcopy collection as part of the Research Services team
• Getting involved in ad hoc projects and other administrative tasks
• Assisting with new joiner orientations and training

The successful candidate will have a strong level of knowledge using tools such as Westlaw Edge, Lexis+ UK and Practical Law, as well as specialised tools. You will have strong level of proficiency in research, including selecting resources and search strategies. As well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and the ability to work under tight deadlines to manage multiple projects.
