Residential Child Care Worker

We are looking for an experienced Residential Child Care Worker for an ongoing role supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and Learning Difficulties (LD) in Derby.

Locations:
Limestone - EBD & LD: 55 Coronation Avenue, Derby, DE24 0LR
Shine - Learning Difficulties: 48 Brierfield Way, Derby, DE3 9SA

Contract: initially 3 months, with potential extension

Pay: £16.65 per hour umbrella

Shift Patterns:
7:00am - 2:30pm
2:00pm - 10:30pm
10:30pm - 7:30am

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide safe, nurturing, and consistent care for children and young people.
• Support young people with emotional, behavioural, and learning difficulties.
• Maintain a positive and therapeutic environment.
• Work proactively as part of a team to deliver person-centred care.

Requirements:

• Experience working with vulnerable children or in a residential childcare setting is desirable.
• Resilience, compassion, and a calm, supportive approach.
• Ability to work flexible shifts including days, lates, and nights.
