Residential Childcare Worker

As a Residential Practitioner, your responsibilities will include:

• Providing constant supervision and care for children in a residential setting.
• Offering emotional support and building trusting relationships with the children.
• Offering guidance and education to families on parenting and child development.
• Connecting families with community resources and support services.
• Conducting home visits to assess living situations and provide in-home support.
• Working towards family reunification when possible.

To excel in this role, you will need:

• At least 6 months of prior experience working with children in a residential setting within the UK.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Registration under the PVG scheme.
• A full driving license (preferred).
• An SVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent qualification (desirable).
