Service Care Legal are currently recruiting on behalf of a London Borough Council who are seeking a Residential Conveyancing & Compliance Officer to join their team. Please find below further details with regards to the role.

ROLE:                  Residential Conveyancing & Compliance Officer
LOCATION:         London
RATE:                   £25.00 to £30.00 per hour LTD (DOE and interview performance)
CONTRACT:        6 months, 36 hours per week

Please note that this would require office attendance 2 days per week.

The Role

• To work in a team delivering of homeowner policies ranging from ad hoc sales of land to permissions for alterations
• Ensuring that homeowners are compliant with lease and freehold transfer requirements.
• Provides operational support for the delivery of the Council’s policies relating to specific types of disposal and acquisition of council homes. T
• To also provide professional residential conveyancing advice and monitoring transactions carried out by external solicitors.

The Person

• A qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Licensed Conveyancer with a current practising certificate
• Proven relevant equivalent experience of residential conveyancing practice and procedures in a similar role for at least three years,
• Experience with respect to local authority disposals would also be essential
