Our client, a well-established law firm serving the South Devon community, is seeking a Residential Property Solicitor (Locum) to cover several holidays this year. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to join a reputable practice on a temporary basis. The dates are 28th July until 1st August 2025, and 20th to 24th October 2025.

The Residential Property Locum will handle a usual caseload of high street residential conveyancing matters, providing expert legal advice and guidance to clients. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of the firm's property department during staff absences.

• Manage a caseload of residential conveyancing matters

• Provide expert legal advice to clients

• Draft and review legal documents

• Liaise with clients, estate agents, and other relevant parties

• Ensure timely completion of transactions

• Qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive, or equivalent experience

• Minimum 4 years' experience in residential conveyancing within a law firm

• Strong knowledge of property law and conveyancing processes

• Excellent communication and client care skills

• Ability to work on-site in the South Devon office

• Be available for the required dates of 28th July until 1st August 2025, and/or 20th to 24th October 2025 (this firm are happy to consider separate candidates for the weeks, if both dates are not available).
