Job Description - Resourcing Partner

A public sector organisation based in London are currently looking for a Resourcing Partner to join in initial 6-month contracts (potential for extension) due to organisational change within the organisation.

The roles offer hybrid working (2 to 3 days a week in the office) and a daily rate up to £400 per day via an Umbrella company (Inside IR35 and PAYE option also available).

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Resourcing Partner to join our public sector organisation. In this role, you will coordinate a comprehensive resourcing service for board and executive roles, ensuring smooth recruitment and selection processes. You will manage our systems to support a proactive and responsive recruitment service for managers, and ensure an efficient candidate on-boarding process that demonstrates excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Collaborate closely with senior stakeholders, including the Mayor’s Office, to provide professional and customer-focused resourcing support for executive and board level appointments.
  • Offer expert advice on resourcing options, recruitment schedules, job advertisements, application forms, selection processes, interview questions, and appointment procedures.
  • Ensure all pre-employment checks are robust, legally compliant, and align with audit recommendations.
  • Produce accurate and timely contractual documentation for new starters in senior roles.
  • Support the Strategic Resourcing and Talent Lead and Resourcing/EVP Lead in generating statistics on board and executive resourcing processes to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Utilize and update HR and recruitment systems in line with process developments, ensuring GDPR compliance.
  • Assist in developing and implementing resourcing policies and procedures, providing guidance to senior stakeholders involved in board and executive appointments.
  • Implement relevant recommendations from Internal Audit Reports.
  • Manage projects to continually improve the service related to board and executive level recruitment.
  • Embrace a flexible approach to work, participating in cross-departmental and cross-organisational groups and project teams.
  • Promote and enable equality of opportunities, reflecting the diverse needs and aspirations of London’s communities.

Key Relationships:

  • Accountable to: Strategic Resourcing and Talent Lead
  • Principal Contacts: People Function team, Senior Stakeholders responsible for Board and Executive Level appointments

Person Specification:

  • Ideally CIPD qualified, or able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge through experience.
  • Proven experience in managing and developing a small, busy resourcing team, providing high-level customer service to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience in providing resourcing services for a high-profile organisation.
  • Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems, HR systems, Excel, and Word to produce clear and concise recruitment materials, data, and statistical information.
