Job Description - Retail Accountant

Retail Accountant | Kent/London | £45,000 - £50,000 | 12-month FTC

My client, a leading luxury retail specialist, are looking for a Retail Accountant to join them for a 12-month fixed term contract. You will focus on several key projects within the team with a main focus on balance sheet reconciliations.

Role & Responsibilities

Act as the subject matter expert in Retail and E-commerce accounting
Manage account reconciliations (e.g., trade debtors, VAT, deposits)
Ensure accurate month-end closing per Group policy
Drive improvements in Accounts Receivable management and cash/commission reconciliations
Support the retail brand and its bespoke ERP system
Ensure audit compliance and assist in stock counts and training

Essential Skills & Experience

Proven experience with balance sheet reconciliations
Strong communication skills with both finance and non-finance teams
Advanced Excel and SAP skills; ERP system proficiency
Ability to handle audits and ensure compliance
Proactive, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven

Package

£45,000 - £50,000 as a basic salary
Competitive pension scheme
Lovely Kent offices with free parking, central London offices also
Monday to Friday, 9am to 5:30pm
