Adaptable Recruitment is proud to be working on behalf of a well-established retail business based in Middleton, currently looking to recruit an experienced Retail Accounts Assistant on a 6-month fixed-term contract.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly and fast-paced finance team, providing essential support to two company accountants. You'll play a key role in handling both Accounts Payable and Receivable, and be the go-to person for resolving stock and pricing queries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes for two companies
• Handle stock queries, stock returns, price discrepancies, and mis-picks
• Liaise with internal teams and suppliers to resolve issues quickly and efficiently
• Support month-end processes and provide accurate reporting
• Use Excel to analyse data and maintain accurate records
• Collaborate closely with the wider finance team to ensure seamless operations

• Previous experience in a retail finance environment is essential
• Solid understanding of stock processes and inventory accounting
• Strong Excel skills, including confident use of VLOOKUPs
• Ability to handle a high-volume workload across two entities
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and adaptable approach
• Comfortable working independently and supporting a small finance team
