Job Description - Retail Floor Planner

Pertemps are recruiting on behalf of our client for a creative and detail-driven Retail Floor Planner to join their busy head office team in Plymouth.

Plymouth | Monday – Friday, 08:45–17:30 | Temporary to Permanent Opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced retail environment and has a passion for combining design with commercial thinking. You’ll be using AutoCAD to create and maintain store layouts for both new sites and existing branches—making a real impact on how customers experience the shop floor.
What You’ll Be Doing:

Designing store layouts using AutoCAD for new openings, seasonal changes, and refits
Working closely with buyers, analysts, and other planners to reflect trading priorities in store layouts
Ensuring layout plans are accurate, consistent, and delivered on time
Supporting ongoing plan reviews and updates
Maintaining records and documentation for all store designs

What We’re Looking For:

Prior experience in a retail or commercial planning environment
Confidence using AutoCAD (or similar design software)
Great attention to detail and a structured, analytical mindset
Comfortable working independently as well as part of a team
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer systems
