The role of Risk Manager within Global Purchasing is a high-profile specialist role which requires extensive experience of stakeholder engagement - often at senior levels and within the external supply base. It requires a high level of interaction internally at all levels, as well as the continual flow of high level of communication with external parties.

What You Will Do:

- Lead strategic supplier review meetings, providing financial insights and conducting supplier site visits when required.

- Quantify risks and communicate potential costs to the company, while outlining effective mitigation strategies.

- Oversee the response to supplier distress and insolvency, ensuring cross-functional collaboration to protect production.

- Develop and lead a high-performing team, fostering a learning culture and supporting continuous skill development.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring risk objectives are agreed upon and achieved.

- Provide guidance on complex legal and commercial issues, ensuring the team operates with clarity and purpose.

Maternity cover for duration of contract. 2 days on site, Tuesday is mandatory at Gaydon, and the other day on site, can be decided by the employee. The majority of the team spend 2 days a week at Gaydon due to a large portion of the Procurement teams being based at this site.
