RMN - Prison - Band 6 - Staffordshire

We have an exciting opportunity within a prison mental health team for a skilled and prison-cleared RMN. This full-time role offers excellent pay, a structured Monday to Friday schedule, and the chance to work within a dynamic and secure clinical environment.

• Job Title: Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) - Band 6

• Location: Staffordshire

• Duration: 3-month ongoing contract

• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

• Start Date: ASAP

• End Date: TBC

• Rate of Pay: £26.50 per hour

Join a dedicated team within a secure setting, providing essential mental health support to individuals in custody. Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering mental health assessments and risk evaluations for inmates

• Managing a caseload of service users and developing tailored care plans

• Administering medication and supporting crisis interventions

• Collaborating closely with prison healthcare staff, psychiatrists, and external agencies

• Maintaining accurate records and adhering to security protocols

• Supporting safeguarding, referrals, and discharge planning

• Current and valid NMC registration and PIN

• Essential: Prior experience working within a prison environment

• Active prison clearance is required

• Full UK driving licence

• Excellent clinical judgment and risk assessment skills

• Strong communication and the ability to work under pressure in a secure setting

This is a full-time role working Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM. The position is for a 3-month ongoing contract, with strong potential for extension based on performance and service requirements.
