Safe House Support Worker
LOCATION: South Glos SALARY: £14.22 + holiday pay £18.37 Umbrella DURATION:12 months FTC Hours: 37.5 –between 8.30am - 4.30pm / 9am – 5pm (flexible) Additional information: As a Safe House Support Worker, you will be playing a vital role in providing a safe haven and empowering support to women, and children who have experienced the trauma of domestic abuse. Join this leading non-profit organization dedicated to making a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need. In this contract role, you will be the compassionate guide, helping survivors regain their independence and rebuild their lives.

Preferred Requirements:
Demonstrated experience in support work, housing management, and group facilitation, with a deep understanding of domestic violence and mental health issues.
Ability to assess risks, co-create safety plans, and advocate for survivors to access the resources they need.
Commitment to a person-centered approach, respecting the expertise of those you serve and promoting their empowerment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a knack for building trust and fostering collaborative relationships.
Passion for making a tangible difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals and families.
Preferred Qualifications:
Relevant qualifications in Support Work, Social Work, counselling, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Ability to work flexibly and adapt to the changing needs of the individuals and families you support.
Driving is essential for this role!
