Contract Terms: 35 hpw (Permanent, Term-time)

Required to start 1st September 2025

Salary: (£34,314 - £37,938 per annum , pro rata)

We are seeking a compassionate, proactive, and dedicated Safeguarding and Welfare Officer to join our committed team and help ensure the safety, well-being, and emotional support of every child in our care.

About the Role:

As our Safeguarding and Welfare Officer, you will play a crucial role in all aspects of safeguarding practices across the school. Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, you will be a trusted point of contact for pupils, staff, and families, and will help to create a safe, supportive environment where every child feels valued and able to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead
• Maintain accurate, confidential safeguarding records
• Liaise with external agencies, including social care and health professionals
• Provide support and early intervention to children and families in need
• Promote a culture of safeguarding across the school
• Monitor attendance and work with families to ensure high levels of pupil engagement

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience working in a safeguarding or pastoral role, preferably within a school or education setting
• Excellent knowledge of child protection and safeguarding policies and procedures
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle sensitive issues with discretion and professionalism
• A calm, empathetic and supportive approach to working with children and families
