Sales & Purchasing Officer

Your Company:
A maritime business is seeking a Sales & Purchasing Officer to join the team located in the Poole area, cover a period of maternity for 1 year, with the view that this could be extended or made permanent. This is an established business, a leader within its sector, proudly supplying required parts into the marine sector, for a number of different businesses.

The position holder will be playing a vital role in the ordering process, managing sales orders, processing purchase orders and ensuring a smooth process in order to meet customer requirements.

Your Roles and Responsibilities:

• Processing sales orders and supporting the management of customer accounts
• Handling purchase orders and coordinating with suppliers to ensure timely product delivery
• Maintaining accurate inventory records and assisting with stock control
• Coordinating activities between sales, purchasing, and warehouse teams to ensure seamless operations
• Managing customer enquiries, delivering high-quality service and resolving issues promptly
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date import/export documentation related to orders
• Ensuring adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and established best practices

What you will need to Apply:
The ideal candidate for this role will have previous experience within sales administration, purchasing or from within a relevant role. Ideally there will be exposure to the marine or engineering sectors. Applicants must demonstrate exquisite communication skills and have an excellent aptitude for learning new systems and be competent in using Microsoft Office. Experience of Sage preferable.

PLEASE NOTE: It's imperative that applicants must have good German language knowledge due to using German systems.
