Job Description - Sales Order Administrator

Sales Order Administrator - Tata Steel, Shotton

Are you a highly organised and detail-oriented professional looking for your next opportunity? Tata Steel in Shotton is seeking a Sales Order Administrator to support order processing, shipping operations, and logistics in a dynamic environment. This role is ideal for someone who is data-driven, highly accurate, and a fast learner.

At our Shotton site, we specialise in coated steel production, serving a wide range of industries. This is an excellent opportunity to join a global company and contribute to efficient supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Order Processing & Shipping: Oversee shipping logistics, including picking, packing, and dispatching orders

  • Documentation & Compliance: Prepare and process domestic and international shipment documents

  • Delivery Management: Track and monitor deliveries to ensure timely fulfillment

  • Stock & Inventory Control: Maintain stock levels to support smooth business operations

  • Returns & Invoicing: Handle returns, exchanges, and supplier invoices accurately

  • Data Entry & Accuracy: Ensure precise and efficient data management in all processes

  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including lab staff and project managers

  • Administrative Support: Assist with additional office tasks as needed

Role Details:
  • Location: Shotton (Hybrid - 3 days on-site; Mondays & Fridays remote after initial training)

  • Training: First 4 weeks fully on-site

  • Hours: 37.5 per week, Monday to Thursday (8:30 AM - 5:00 PM), Friday (4:00 PM finish)

  • Contract Duration: 12 months (Potential for extension)

  • Salary: £23,000+ (Negotiable based on experience)

  • Experience: SAP experience is a plus but not essential (training provided)

  • Skills: Strong attention to detail, accuracy, data-focused mindset, admin expertise, and ability to learn quickly
