SAP Business Analyst (Finance)

• Contract Duration: 12 months
• Location: London
• Job Type: Contract (3 days per week in the office)
• Day rate: £400-425/day Inside IR35 via umbrella

We are seeking an experienced SAP Business Analyst to join our team, focusing on a major transformation project within the finance sector. This role involves working closely with our client’s Technology Function, particularly during the transition from SAP R/3 to SAP S/4HANA Finance Module. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in delivering technical change within large transformation programmes, including Data Migration, Analytics, and Reporting experiences.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Translate business requirements into functional specifications, ensuring alignment with business benefits and quality delivery & testing.
• Define requirements for ERP transformation, focusing on the SAP S/4HANA Finance module and associated functionalities.
• Work closely with stakeholders and third-party service providers to ensure effective implementation and integration of new systems.
• Utilise business analysis tools to manage project requirements and documentation.
• Engage in both Agile and Waterfall project methodologies, adapting to project needs and ensuring smooth progression through project phases.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience moving from SAP R/3 to SAP S/4HANA Finance Module.
• Strong understanding of financial processes and functionalities within SAP S/4HANA, including General Ledger, Asset Accounting, and Finance Reporting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of translating complex business requirements into technical specifications.
• Proficient in using business analysis tools such as Visio, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Jira.
• Experience in stakeholder management, capable of working autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
• Customer-centric focus, with a strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.

Desirable:

• Experience in the logistics sector.
• Previous consultancy work experience.
