Job Description - SAP HCM Consultant - UK

SAP Payroll Tax Analyst | £750 per day | Outside IR35 | Fully Remote | Initial 4 month Contract

We are seeking a skilled SAP Payroll Tax Analyst for a 4-month contract engagement. This role is ideal for someone with deep expertise in payroll tax compliance, notice resolution, and stakeholder communication within SAP environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the resolution of payroll tax notices and ensure timely responses to government agencies
Provide subject matter expertise to internal teams and clients on payroll tax regulations and compliance
Coordinate and support tax filing operations, including working with external tax filing suppliers
Identify and recommend process improvements for payroll tax operations
Perform detailed variance analysis and escalate issues where necessary
Compile and analyze operational metrics and contribute to delivery reporting
Assist with testing updated interfaces and managing tax-related documentation
Support the implementation of new clients and mentor colleagues where needed

Requirements:

3+ years’ experience in payroll tax filing and compliance
Strong understanding of SAP HCM Payroll and UK tax regulations
Experience with MasterTax or ADP Smart Compliance is highly desirable
Proficient in Excel (including pivot tables, vlookups, macros)
Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently under tight deadlines
