Communications & Engagement Lead - 4 month contract (possible extension) - Hybrid - Corsham - £590 per day

FryerMiles are delighted to be working with a leading Consultancy on their recruitment of a Communications and Engagement Lead to support a high-profile UK Defence project. This role is critical to driving effective business change, stakeholder engagement, and delivering strategic communications across transformation programmes within a complex Defence environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Lead the development and execution of communications and engagement strategies for Defence transformation initiatives.

• Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing expert guidance on stakeholder management, change communications, and employee engagement.

• Design and deliver targeted communications plans to support business change activities and enhance stakeholder buy-in.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Programme Management, Change Management, and Technical Teams.

• Manage the creation of high-quality communications content (presentations, briefs, newsletters, digital content).

• Monitor engagement effectiveness, gather feedback, and continuously improve communication approaches.

• Ensure alignment with UK Defence communications protocols and sensitivities.

Experience and Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Communications and Engagement Lead within Business Change and Transformation programmes.

• Strong background in Stakeholder Engagement within the UK Defence sector

• Strong planning, coordination, and project management skills.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

• Valid SC Clearance essential

• Available to start on short noticer and willing to travel to Corsham 3 days per week
