SCADA Operative (Day Operative - Waste Management)

Shift Pattern: Weekly rotation - 6:00am-2:00pm / 2:00pm-10:00pm
Pay Rate: £15.55 per hour
Contract Type: 3-month temp-to-perm

We are currently seeking a SCADA Operative to support the day-to-day operations of a Mechanical Treatment (MT) Plant. You will be responsible for operating and monitoring the plant through the SCADA system, ensuring high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance.

• Operate the SCADA system to monitor and control the MT plant.

• Conduct plant walkarounds and CCTV monitoring to ensure H&S standards.

• Maintain accurate daily logs and ensure operations meet business KPIs.

• Support with maintenance tasks and complete PPMs as required.

• Step into the MT Supervisor role during absences.

• Liaise with third-party contractors, hauliers, and internal teams.

Desirable Qualifications (training can be provided):

• FLT or mobile plant certification

• First Aid at Work

• Harness Awareness

• IPAF (3A/3B)

Skills & Experience:

• Experience in waste industry or operating MT plants.

• Competent in computer-based systems (e.g., Microsoft Office).

• Knowledge of mobile plant operation and maintenance.

Behavioural Traits:

• Team player with strong communication and organisational skills.

• Willingness to learn and adapt to different roles as needed.
