School Business Manager

Your new company
Hays Education are currently supporting a South Birmingham based primary school who are looking to appoint a School Business Manager. The role is to commence ASAP. The role will be Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm.
Your new role
Working closely with the principal, you will have responsibility for the Finance, H&S, Estates and HR operations within the school. You will be responsible for ensuring that:

• The best value is obtained for all services engaged and purchases made within school.
• The administration and site teams work smoothly and efficiently.
• Annual budgets are adhered to, and applications are made for available grants to provide additional external funding where possible.
• Provide regular reports for the head and governing body of the school.
• Line management for Admin, site, and catering staff.

What you'll need to succeed
The successful applicant will have:

• Excellent organisation and communications skills
• Demonstrate high standards and expectations of themselves and direct reports
• Experience and skills in financial management, including budgetary planning, control, and auditing
• A high level of IT literacy
• Experience of HR management - Absence, probation etc.
• Experience with Facilities management.
• Experience with school budget setting.
