Job Title: School Business Manager
Location: Hackney, London
Contract: Temporary (with a view to becoming permanent)
Salary: £22-£32 per hour dependent on experience
Start Date: As soon as possible/September
About the Role:We are seeking an experienced and dynamic School Business Manager to join our vibrant school community in Hackney. This is a pivotal leadership role, responsible for overseeing the school's finance, HR, and administrative operations, ensuring the effective and efficient running of all non-teaching functions.
Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic and day-to-day management of the school's
  Financial operations, including budgeting, reporting, and compliance
• Oversight of
  HR processes, including recruitment, payroll, and staff records
• Management of the school's
  Management Information System (MIS)
• Ensuring compliance with safeguarding and data protection policies
• Supporting the Headteacher and senior leadership team with operational planning and resource management
• Line management of administrative and support staff

Essential Requirements:

• Proven experience as a School Business Manager or in a similar leadership role within education
• Strong knowledge of school finance systems, budget management, and HR procedures
• Proficiency in using school MIS platforms (e.g., SIMS, Arbor, or similar)
• Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain one)
• Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
