School Caretaker

School Caretaker/Site Assistant to work within a school in Willenhall, required immediately.

As a caretaker/site assistant you will be responsible for:

• Unlocking and locking up the school site as well as individual departments
• Keeping the school grounds maintained and tidied
• General maintenance, DIY - fixing and put furniture together, painting
• Assisting with any school deliveries
• Overlooking the schools health and safety. Carrying out fire drills/test.
• Checking fire extinguishers and other health and safety aspects of the schools
• Liaising with contractors and escorting them around site
• Setting up classrooms and halls for assemblies and parents' evenings
• Gardening and outdoor site maintenance - lawn mowing, using a strimmer, weeding, litter picking
• General cleaning

Requirements:

• Previous experience working as a school caretaker
• Must hold an enhanced DBS disclosure issued within the last 12 months or on the update service

About You:

• Able to work well in a team
• Can work well individually
• Able to follow instructions
• Must be reliable
• Excellent timekeeping

Hours: Monday to Friday 6am-2pm or 11.30am-6pm
