School Caretaker

We are seeking a dedicated School Caretaker to join our team on a temporary basis. This role is ideal for someone with prior experience in a school setting, ready to start immediately. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the school premises, ensuring a safe and clean environment for staff and students.

• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of the school buildings and grounds to ensure they are in good condition.
• Perform basic repairs and maintenance tasks including plumbing, carpentry, and painting as needed.
• Ensure the security of the school premises by managing access points and monitoring security systems.
• Set up furniture and equipment for school events and rearrange as required.
• Maintain outdoor areas, including gardening and clearing pathways.
• Manage heating and lighting systems to ensure they are functioning properly.
• Liaise with external contractors for specialised repair and maintenance work.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.

• Previous experience as a caretaker, ideally within a school environment.
• Knowledge of basic repair and maintenance tasks.
• Good understanding of health and safety regulations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
