Are you a reliable, hands-on individual with a strong sense of responsibility and pride in your work? A well-established secondary school in Croydon is looking for a dedicated School Caretaker to join our site team from September 2025.

This is a key role in ensuring our school remains a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment for students, staff, and visitors.

• Carrying out general maintenance, repairs, and basic DIY tasks across the school site.

• Opening and closing the school premises (site security).

• Ensuring health and safety standards are met at all times.

• Managing cleaning staff and ensuring cleanliness across the site.

• Assisting with setting up rooms for school events, exams, and activities.

• Monitoring contractors on site and overseeing planned maintenance schedules.

• Previous experience in a caretaking, facilities, or site management role (school setting desirable).

• Basic maintenance and DIY skills (plumbing, painting, carpentry, etc.).

• Good knowledge of health and safety regulations.

• A proactive, flexible, and reliable attitude.

• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain one).
