A welcoming school in Haywards Heath is seeking a dependable, proactive, and hands-on School Caretaker to join their team. This is a key role in ensuring the school remains a safe, secure, and well-maintained environment for pupils, staff, and visitors.
Key Duties:

• Perform general maintenance and minor repairs across the site.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of school grounds and facilities.
• Manage site security, including daily opening and locking procedures.
• Conduct regular health and safety checks.
• Assist with room setups, deliveries, and school events.
• Liaise with external contractors and service providers.

Who we're looking for:

• Strong practical skills in maintenance, DIY, and site management.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations (e.g. COSHH, fire safety).
• A reliable, adaptable, and self-motivated approach.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Previous experience in a similar role.
• School experience preferred but not essential.
