Join a dedicated team as a School Caretaker, where you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe, clean, and well-functioning environment for our pupils, staff, and visitors. This position is ideal for someone who is dependable, proactive, and takes pride in their work.

• Ensure the school buildings and grounds are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
• Carry out minor repairs and general maintenance tasks.
• Open and secure the school premises at the beginning and end of the day.
• Monitor heating, lighting, and alarm systems.
• Support with setting up rooms for school events and activities.
• Liaise with contractors and service providers when needed.
• Respond to urgent maintenance issues and health & safety concerns.
• Assist with deliveries and general caretaking duties.

• Previous experience in a caretaking or maintenance role, preferably in a school or similar setting.
• Basic knowledge of building maintenance and health & safety procedures.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• A flexible, positive attitude and a strong sense of responsibility.
• Enhanced DBS check will be required (can be arranged upon appointment).
