School Finance Assistant

Are you an experienced Finance Assistant available immediately? Join this Trust and dynamic team as a Finance Assistant and work alongside a Finance Officer who will teach you new skills and provide opportunities for you to gain further experience in this field. You would be expected to work across two schools in the trust and split your week into working independently on one site and alongside an experienced member of the team on the other.

Responsibilities

Manage invoices and update the Finance system. Raise orders and deal with queries. Check pricing and charges accurately. Ensure the systems are kept up to date. Work closely with the Finance Officer and Trust Business Manager to ensure that workload is managed, and the school are up to date in paying suppliers. Record information accurately and upload documents after approval as required.

Requirements

Level 2 or above (or equivalent) in Maths and English. Excellent IT skills. Previous experience, track record and understanding of Finance and operations in Finance. Experience of Access Dimensions is desired. Going through compliance checks with us and having an enhanced DBS live on the update service are essential if you are shortlisted.
