Job Description - School Office Manager

School Business Manager / Office Manager - Primary School - Chesterfield
Start date: October 2025
Contract: Full-time, long-term
Hours: 8:30am - 4:00pm, Monday to Friday

Tradewind Recruitment are seeking an experienced School Business Manager / Office Manager to join a welcoming primary school in Chesterfield on a long-term basis from October.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and motivated professional with a proven track record in school business management, particularly in finance and office administration. You will play a key role in the effective running of the school, ensuring smooth financial and administrative operations that support staff, pupils, and the wider school community.

The Role:
  • Managing and overseeing the school's finances, budgets, and accounts

  • Leading and supporting office staff to ensure efficient daily operations

  • Contributing to the strategic development of the school alongside the senior leadership team

  • Managing HR, premises, and contracts where required

  • Acting as the first point of contact for financial and administrative matters

Requirements:
  • Previous experience working as a School Business Manager or Office Manager within a school setting is essential

  • Strong financial management skills and the ability to work to deadlines

  • Excellent organisational and communication skills

  • A proactive and professional approach
