Are you a passionate and resilient Science Teacher looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people? Hays Education is working in partnership with a specialist SEMH school in Salford to recruit a dedicated Science Teacher for a full-time role starting in September 2025.

Your new school

This innovative and inclusive SEMH school in Salford provides a nurturing and structured environment for students aged 11-16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. With small class sizes, a strong pastoral team, and a therapeutic approach to education, the school is committed to helping every student achieve their full potential-both academically and personally.

Your new role

• Plan and deliver high-quality Science lessons (Biology, Chemistry, Physics)
• Differentiate content to support individual learning needs
• Build strong, supportive relationships with students
• Contribute to the school's inclusive and therapeutic ethos
• Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing feedback and support

What you'll need to succeed

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Experience teaching Science at secondary level
• A strong understanding of SEMH and trauma-informed practice
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• A commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education
