The Role:
The Science Teaching Assistant will work closely with the science department to support pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will assist under-achieving students in developing their understanding of Biology, Chemistry, and Physics through small group work, one-to-one sessions, and classroom support. You will help prepare revision materials, deliver intervention sessions, and build students’ confidence as they prepare for important assessments.

The Candidate:
The ideal candidate will hold a degree in a science-related subject such as Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or a combined science field. A strong academic background, a passion for science, and a commitment to supporting young learners are essential. Previous experience working with young people in a school or tutoring context would be beneficial but is not essential. You must be able to build positive relationships, explain complex concepts clearly, and be committed to helping students achieve their full potential.
