Are you a Science graduate eager to apply your knowledge in a school environment? Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with several excellent secondary schools across Glossop, who are currently seeking dedicated and skilled Science Technicians to join their teams from September 2025.

This is an outstanding opportunity for individuals with a Science degree to gain hands-on experience in education while contributing to the delivery of engaging and practical science lessons.

As a Science Technician, you'll be a vital member of the science department, providing technical support for lessons and ensuring a safe and efficient learning environment. Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing, setting up, and dismantling equipment for Biology, Chemistry and Physics practicals.

• Assisting teaching staff during science demonstrations and lessons.

• Managing stock levels and ordering laboratory materials and chemicals.

• Maintaining and cleaning lab equipment, ensuring safe storage and proper handling.

• Following and promoting strict health and safety procedures in the science labs.

• A degree in a Science subject is essential (e.g. Chemistry, Biology, Physics, or a related discipline).

• Experience in a school or lab setting is an advantage but not essential.

• Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills.

• A proactive and safety-conscious approach.

• A passion for science and a genuine interest in supporting secondary education.

• Competitive daily pay of £100-£110.

• Full-time, long-term positions starting in September 2025.
