Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting for a full time Science Technician to work in an exceptional School in central Hull, starting ideally starting ASAP and lasting initially until October 24th. This is to cover a period of absence, so the exact length of time is difficult to establish, but may well extend. Payment for this position will be between £100 and £115 per day depending on experience and qualifications. Working hours for this position will be 9:30 - 4:30.

Working as a Science Technician, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth running of the science department. You will be responsible for preparing experiments received in requisitions from teachers, and ensuring that health and safety is properly adhered to. You may also (if desired) assist students with practical work/run demonstrations. Ideally the school are looking for a candidate that has experience working as a science technician, but any science graduate with the right skill set and attitude would be considered for this role.

This school is located in central Hull and has an extremely positive reputation in the local area. With students that are extremely determined to learn, and discipline/behaviour in the school being extremely good, this is a fantastic place to work and aid students in their science journey.

Tradewind will also support your development during your placement and beyond through our fantastic CPD via The National College. You will be put onto all of the same CPD as permanent staff members, and encouraged to grow.

• Hold a Qualification in a science background
• Have experience working within schools in the UK (desirable)
• Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
• CV must cover the full CV History
• Legal right to work in the UK
