Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Location: South East London
Contract Type: Full-time, Term-Time Only
Salary: £120 - £140 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025 or ASAP

A dynamic and inclusive school in South East London is seeking a qualified and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and capable individual to take on a key role supporting teaching and learning across Key Stages 3 and 4.

As a HLTA, you will be working closely with teachers to plan and deliver lessons, cover classes when required, and provide targeted support to students, including those with SEN and EAL needs.

• Plan and deliver small group interventions or whole-class sessions

• Provide in-class support across a range of subjects

• Cover lessons in the absence of the class teacher

• Support students with additional needs to access learning

• Assist with assessment, progress tracking, and resource preparation

• HLTA status or equivalent experience is essential

• Experience working in a school setting, ideally at secondary level

• Confident in managing classroom behaviour and leading lessons

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Flexible, professional, and passionate about education
