Secondary - Learning Support Assistant

We are currently looking for Learning Support Assistants in and around Amersham, Buckinghamshire who are serious about helping to build a positive future for children in Secondary schools!

Location- Amersham, Buckinghamshire

Pay-£85 to £105 a day -depending on experience.

Contract type- long term

Start date- September onwards

Learning support assistant: As an LSA, you would need to offer continuous support for the child you work with, assisting them in their studies as they can require additional help, through one-to-one support. You would follow a care plan, help to prepare learning materials, and help the class teacher in managing class behaviour and keeping their learning environment safe. In one-to-one sessions, you should encourage the child to communicate their questions they may have, keep them motivated, manage physical needs if needed and supporting them during social activities like school trips, sports days and PE.

Requirements for your next role:

• Experience working in a secondary school in the UK.
• Experience as an LSA in a secondary school within the last 5 years.
• Right to work in the UK, proof of address, referencing from schools in the last 5 years.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one.
• Overseas police check if you have lived outside of the UK for over 6 months within the last 5 years.
• Be able to reliably commute to Amersham
