An esteemed educational institution in Reading is seeking a dedicated History/Religion/Philosophy Teacher to join their team for the remainder of the academic year. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about delivering comprehensive education in history, religion, and philosophy to secondary school students.

• Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences in history, religion, and philosophy.
• Develop schemes of work and lesson plans in line with curriculum objectives.
• Facilitate learning by establishing a relationship with pupils and by their organisation of learning resources and the classroom learning environment.
• Assess and record students’ progress and provide grades and feedback.
• Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the school.
• Participate in departmental meetings, parent meetings, and whole school training events.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• A degree in History, Religion, Philosophy, or a related subject.
• Proven experience as a teacher in one or more of the subjects: History, Religion, Philosophy.
• Strong knowledge of the curriculum and assessment methods.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Good organisational and time-management skills.
