Hays have been approached by a High School in the Tameside area that we have worked with for a number of years, who are seeking to appoint Teaching Assistants on a full-time basis. The school has an extremely welcoming approach and now, due to planned expansion of the school, they are looking to recruit Teaching Assistants to come in and support.

Your new role

As a teaching assistant, you are responsible for providing support and assistance to the pupils, whether it be in a group or 1:1 setting, as well as supporting the class teacher across, this could be across KS3, KS4 or KS5. By being a teaching assistant, you should possess good behaviour management skills and hit the ground running by building up those relationships with pupils as well as staff. There is currently a high demand for teaching assistants in the Tameside area, so please get in touch if you would like to know more or discuss the roles available.

What you'll need to succeed

In order to be successful in securing this position, you must possess recent experience working with children, the school are also willing to consider individuals from other various roles working with young adults, for example, support worker roles. SEND experience would also be desirable in this role, however the school are looking for someone to come in with an open mind and commit to the role.
