An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a dynamic and vibrant security vetting team within a leading defence organisation. This is a crucial function that ensures the successful delivery of security-cleared personnel, mitigating risks and safeguarding company interests. You will be part of a highly motivated and progressive team, acting as the first layer of defence in identifying and managing personnel risks.

Responsibilities:
• Support the Recruitment team in obtaining security clearances and checks for all new employees.
• Manage confidential and complex vetting enquiries with discretion and professionalism.
• Act as the primary point of contact for vetting issues and problem resolution.
• Liaise with UKSV and external agencies as required.
• Utilise external IT platforms to obtain, update, and manage security clearances.
• Provide support to various areas within Security Services.
• Lead departmental projects to ensure successful implementation and meet deadlines.
• Assist the Personnel Security Manager in executing the Vetting Strategy.
Required Skills and Experience:
Essential
• Strong knowledge and experience of HMG BPSS and UKSV vetting processes.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks effectively.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a professional approach to work.
• Experience using electronic vetting databases and multiple IT platforms.
• A proactive and positive _can-do_ attitude.
Desirable
• Experience within the MOD or defence industry.
• Relevant vetting and personnel security experience or qualification.
• Understanding of recruitment and onboarding processes in the defence sector.
• Awareness of personnel security aftercare for security-cleared staff.
• Experience in delivering training and presentations.
