This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting children with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs and ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder), within a primary school setting. The position starts in September and offers full-time, long-term engagement.

• Support the class teacher along with other Teaching Assistants in daily classroom activities.
• Provide tailored support to primary age students with SEMH and ASD, ensuring their educational and emotional needs are met.
• Manage challenging behaviours effectively and with confidence.
• Contribute to creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
• Collaborate with a supportive team to enhance the educational experience of the students.
• Participate in training and development sessions to improve professional skills and understanding of student needs.

• Experience working with SEMH and ASD students is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Confidence in managing challenging behaviours.
• A genuine interest in children’s mental health and educational development.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and foster a collaborative working environment.
