A dedicated SEMH primary school in Waltham Forest is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work with Key Stage 3/4 pupils who face significant behavioural and emotional difficulties. The school has a small class setting, therapeutic support, and a trauma-informed approach to education.

Key Responsibilities:

• 1:1 and group support for behaviour and emotional development

• Help students access learning through differentiated activities

• Support therapeutic sessions alongside behaviour specialists

• Promote self-regulation and reduce instances of dysregulation

Candidate Profile:

• Prior work in SEMH, PRU or similar special needs settings

• Confidence in handling emotional outbursts and crisis situations

• Strong rapport-building and communication skills
