SEMH Teaching Assistant - Support Students

Location: Leicester
Contract: Full-Time, Term-Time Only
Start Date: September 2025

Hays are in partnership with a Secondary School seeking a committed SEMH Teaching Assistant. This job will require you to support students with social, emotional, and mental health needs in a nurturing school environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support
• Assist with behaviour management and emotional regulation
• Support teachers in delivering tailored learning plans
• Promote a safe and inclusive learning environment

Requirements:

• Experience with SEMH, SEN, or behavioural needs
• Calm, patient, and resilient approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Relevant qualifications (desirable)
