SEMH Teaching Assistant - Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire

Candidates with the following are fast-tracked for interview...

  • Located, or reliably commutable to Milton Keynes

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? We are seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a specialist inclusive school. The school provides a tailored learning environment designed to aid students overcome barriers, build resilience, and achieve their full potential both academically and socially.

As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support individual students and small groups to maximise learning and achievement.
  • Assist in delivering lessons, interventions, and off-site activities.
  • Promote positive behaviour by consistently implementing the school's behaviour policy.
  • Work closely with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure strong communication and progress.
  • Encourage student independence, confidence, and engagement with the curriculum.

  • A team-oriented approach and flexibility to support school needs.
  • Good literacy, numeracy, and IT skills.
