SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Hackney
Salary: £90-£95 per day
Contract: Full-time, Term-time only
Start Date: After Easter

A respected secondary school in Hackney is looking for a committed Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join their team after the Easter break. This full-time role offers an excellent opportunity to support students with additional needs and contribute to their educational and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide in-class and small group support for students with autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties

• Assist in adapting lesson plans and materials to meet individual needs

• Encourage positive behaviour and support the development of social and communication skills

• Work with the SENCO and teaching staff to implement and monitor Individual Education Plans (IEPs)

• Track student progress and provide feedback to staff and parents

Requirements:

• Experience working with children or young people with SEN

• A patient, empathetic, and proactive attitude

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• A genuine interest in inclusive education and student wellbeing
