SEN - Classroom Assistant

Reed Education is seeking dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join our supportive network. • Assist in the educational and social development of students under the direction and guidance of the head teacher and class teachers.
• Support students with emotional or behavioural problems and help develop their social skills.
• Prepare learning materials under the supervision of the teacher.
• Work individually or in small groups with students to enhance their learning and development.
• Observe and report on the progress of students.
• Assist with the planning of learning activities and participate in creating a supportive learning environment.

• Experience in working with children with special educational needs (SEN).
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or equivalent is highly desirable.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Patience, understanding, and flexibility.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other staff.
• Enhanced DBS check required.
