SEN - HLTA

Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to lead a team providing tailored support to pupils with a bespoke learning plans. This role involves planning, monitoring progress, and creating activities to support the pupil's mental health and overall well-being. The position specifically involves working with pupils with high Special Educational Needs (SEN), including Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD).

Main Duties:

• Supervise a team of Teaching Assistants ensuring that there is progress and a continuation of the school's vision
• Conduct team evaluations and manage daily classroom activities.
• Design and implement learning activities, track pupil progress, and adjust plans as needed.
• Apply a Trauma Informed approach in all interactions.

Qualifications:

• Understanding of relevant policies, codes of practice, and legislation.
• Experience in child development and educational processes.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to lead, inspire, and develop staff.
• Higher Level Teaching Assistant certification or equivalent qualification (Level 3).
