SEN Learning Support Worker

  • Job Type: Full-time (Part-time options available)
  • Location: London
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 – 17:00
  • Annual Leave: 25 Days + Bank Holidays (up to 3 days allocated for Christmas Closure)
  • Salary: Competitive

Are you passionate about making a real difference in people’s lives? We’re looking for a kind, patient, and proactive Learning Support Worker to join our friendly team in London. In this role, you’ll support autistic adults in developing their independence, confidence, and life skills—both at our adult centre and out in the local community.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who genuinely enjoys helping others thrive and wants to be part of a supportive, inclusive environment.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting learners with their individual goals, whether that’s building daily living skills, improving communication, or accessing the community.
  • Planning and delivering engaging activities tailored to each person’s needs and interests.
  • Helping reduce barriers to learning by offering positive, behaviour-based support.
  • Assisting with personal care and promoting good hygiene and well-being.
  • Encouraging participation in social, leisure, and educational activities.
  • Supporting learners in exploring employment opportunities and making informed choices.
  • Keeping accurate records of progress and adapting your approach as needed.
  • Administering medication and responding to medical needs (full training provided).
  • Taking part in ongoing training and development to grow your skills.

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience supporting adults or young people with disabilities—this could be professional, voluntary, or personal.
  • Confidence in working with individuals who may display challenging behaviour.
  • A calm, compassionate approach, especially in high-pressure situations.
  • A genuine interest in autism and a desire to learn more.
  • A team player who’s also confident working independently.
  • Good communication and record-keeping skills.
  • Willingness to support with personal care when needed.
  • GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade C/4 or above) are a bonus, but not essential.

What we offer:

  • A competitive salary and benefits package.
  • A warm, welcoming team that values your input.
  • Ongoing training and professional development.
  • Flexible working options (ask us about part-time roles).
  • The chance to make a meaningful impact every single day.

If this sounds like the kind of role you’ve been looking for, we’d love to hear from you. Please send us your CV and a cover letter telling us a bit about your experience and why you’re passionate about supporting autistic adults.
