About the Role:

As an SEN PE Teacher, you will design and deliver inclusive and adaptive PE lessons tailored to students with a wide range of complex needs, including autism, PMLD (profound and multiple learning difficulties), SLD (severe learning difficulties), and sensory impairments. Your role will be to foster not only physical development but also teamwork, confidence, and well-being in a nurturing and structured environment.

We are looking for a SEN PE Teacher who is creative, compassionate, and confident in working within a SEN setting. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide individualised support, ensuring that every pupil has the opportunity to thrive and achieve their personal best.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver differentiated PE sessions that promote physical development and inclusion.
• Use a wide variety of sensory and movement-based activities.
• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and parents.
• Maintain a safe and supportive environment for all students.
• Track progress and adapt lessons to meet diverse needs.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
• Experience working in SEN schools, ideally with SLD or PMLD pupils.
• Strong understanding of adaptive PE techniques and strategies.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• A genuine commitment to inclusive education and student well-being.
